Romain KIMMEL is a foreign policy officer at the European and International Department in the General Directorate for Civil Protection and Crisis Management. From 2009 to 2018, he was head of the foreign affairs section at the Paris Fire Brigade and supported cooperation activities with worldwide countries. He achieved more than 60 missions around the world. From 2005 to 2008, he worked as an interpreter mostly in the field of Civil Protection and Environment. He started his career as a duty officer working for the French Refugee Agency for several years. Romain KIMMEL graduated from the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations with a Master’s degree in Chinese; from the Sorbonne University with a Master’s degree in History and in European Governance and Administration and from the Paris Institute of Political Studies with a Master’s degree in Political Sciences.
